Hi,

After hearing that Coles Online is now available in Brisbane and given that I’m due to have my first baby in approx a week I was quite excited about the convenience online shopping would offer.

Over the last few days I have invested quite a bit of time building up a standard shopping list on the website. This afternoon I decided to place an order of items that I need to buy.

After spending more time getting this setup and filling my online shopping cart today I am very disappointed to find out that after all that I cant actually get my order delivered before 6pm on Friday night - 4 days away and even then only one time slot is available for the rest of this week.

What a let down! This experience will really make me think twice about shopping with Coles Online again as if I cant get a timely service, what is the point?

Kind regards,

Louisa.

Unfortunately, I think it’s a vicious cycle; they can’t offer more delivery slots because there’s not enough people to deliver to; and since they don’t have enough delivery slots, people don’t want to use the service :-(.

I hope they get it running though, online shopping is definitely the way to go; it’s win-win!

    Hi Louisa,

This happened to me too! Since then I found http://WWW.FOODDIRECT.COM.AU They have delivered to me a few times now and the service and quality of everything is incredible!! The website was really quick to use and the whole thing is MUCH better than Coles website and so was the food. Honestly, give FoodDirect a go in Brisbane ;)

Im a driver for coles online in brisbane and the reason is because so many people are using the service, and there are only a limited amount of drivers. And anyone contemplating using food direct…go ahead…the stuff they sell they buy from coles online anyway…we deliver to them!!

Have enjoyed reading these comments. Sounds like a painful experience with Coles. I prefer going to the shops myself but when I needed to, I’ve used FoodDirect on and off for many years. Not sure what this George is on about since coles has only just started here in Brisbane. Sounds like he gets kick-back from the company. I support local businesses and yes Sarah, the quality of the food I get from FoodDirect is very good indeed! I hope they continue and don’t get wiped out by these corporates who are taking over the world. Well done for writing this.
